Travel Health Services
Our doctors are experts in the medical risks of travel, and can give you accurate and up-to-date advice on how to protect yourself when travelling overseas.
What will happen when I come to the clinic?
-
FORM The receptionist will ask you to complete a form containing your details and some questions about your trip, health and allergies.
-
DOCTOR The doctor will call you through for a consultation, to discuss your particular trip, including the level of accommodation, and locations you may visit within the country, with an emphasis on whether malaria is a risk in those locations. The doctor will suggest vaccinations appropriate for the trip, medical kits for self-treatment of travellers diarrhoea etc, malaria tablets, and can answer any other questions you may have, such as altitude sickness, contraception, DVT, seasickness or managing pre-existing illness such as asthma.
-
NURSE The nurse will take you through for the vaccinations. All vaccines including Yellow Fever are kept on the premises. Don't worry if you are a bit of a sook! our nurses are very experienced, and will look after you very kindly. We are quick and kind to children, and try hard to give them a good experience.
